Under the visionary leadership of Music Director Teddy Abrams, this year’s Classics lineup is an amazing array of musical wonders, embodying the delight and dynamism that the Louisville Orchestra is renowned for. Imagine yourself immersed in the grandeur of Holst’s The Planets our season opener, the choral majesty of Carmina Burana, or the poignant narrative of Der Kaiser Von Atlantis. Revel in Strauss’s An Alpine Symphony, and some of the most beloved concertos brought to life by world-famous guest artists like Ray Chen, Midori, and Louis Lortie. LO’s Creators Corps program promises a Season Finale Festival brimming with fresh compositions crafted especially for Louisville audiences.

Coffee Series

The Coffee Series distills the splendor of our evening performances into daytime concerts that are both accessible and refreshing. Paired with complimentary coffee, these concerts feature abridged versions of our Classics performances, condensed into shorter, intermission free concerts. Experience the virtuosity of Ray Chen and Midori in masterful violin concertos, the romantic flair of Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G with Louis Lortie, and the dramatic storytelling of Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite. Each performance is a specially crafted musical delight to start your day on a high note.

Our Pops series, led by Maestro Bob Bernhardt, promises an eclectic mix of nostalgia and innovation. From Rick Steves’ Europe, where the celebrated travel expert Rick Steves himself will take you on an auditory and visual tour of Europe through music and storytelling to tribute nights dedicated to the 80s and 90s featuring vocal talents from O-Town, NSYNC, and 98 Degrees. Also, part of the Pops Series is our beloved Holiday Pops concert taking place at the Louisville Palace Theatre this year.
