No less a pianist than the virtuoso Franz Liszt told Edvard Grieg “You carry on, my friend; you have the real stuff in you. And don’t ever let them frighten you!” upon previewing the younger man’s first (and only) piano concerto. This splendid masterpiece, with its sincere melodies and warm sonorities, has offered vigorous poetry to listeners ever since.

Winner of the 2018 Sir George Solti Conducting Award and now earning international acclaim, Roderick Cox takes the podium for the rich, mysterious, and bold virtuosity of the Third Symphony of Brahms. Plus, American composer James Lee III offers is newest work for its world premiere.

JAMES LEE III:  Emotive Transformations (World Premiere) (2/1 only)
EDVARD GRIEG:  Piano Concerto
JOHANNES BRAHMS:  Symphony No. 3
