Called “one of the finest, most searching songwriters of the day,” by The New Yorker, Gabriel Kahane brings a newly orchestrated set of songs of empathy to our stage. While searching for connections between Americans on a cross-country train journey, Kahane found inspiration in fellow travelers.  This exceptional musical event also features the final symphony of Romantic-era composer Robert Schumann, a celebrated songwriter in his own right.
