GSA 2026 Final Day Details

Hey GSA 2026 Parents/Guardians!

We hope you are as excited as we are for the GSA Final Day celebration this Saturday, June 27th! Your students have been working diligently on their gallery exhibitions and performances since they arrived on campus, and we are so excited for those to be shared with you this weekend.

Below are some additional details and instructions regarding move-out, student call times, artform graduations, etc., so please read carefully. For more general information about the day's overall schedule, etc., please consult our the general info page on our website (HERE). You will also want to chat with your student so you have an awareness of their individual schedule for the day.

GSA 2026 Move-Out Map and Instructions

MOVE-OUT/CHECK-OUT INSTRUCTIONS

Upon arrival at NKU, we ask that all parents and guardians park in the University Suites Parking lots (outlined in blue).
From here, you will pick up an empty cart and enter University Suites (yellow star) to meet your student in the lobby.
You and your student will go up to their room to assess how much they've packed. If they are not fully packed, you can help them until they are. If you or your student needs to throw away any trash, please do so at the trash compactors located outside of the building.
When your student’s items are fully loaded onto your cart, everyone will go downstairs to the lobby. This is where your student will officially check out of University Suites.
After you check out, you’re good to leave US and take part in the rest of GSA’s Final Day festivities!
When you are finished loading your vehicle, please return your empty moving cart to the station at the front of University Suites.

NOTES

All students must be completely moved out of University Suites by 11:15 am ET.
If you or your student needs to throw away any trash, please do so at the dumpster located outside of the building.
The University Suites lots will be free on move-out day.
Please check in with your student about when they need to be available for any performance/gallery setups during the move-out time frame. If you are moving your GSA student out when this is happening, you and/or your party are permitted to continue the move out process while your student reports to their scheduled event. Just be sure to go to the lobby and notify the check-out desk (provide them with your student’s first and last name as well) when you’re finished.
Once you finish moving your student out, we recommend moving your vehicle to the parking lots closer to the Fine Arts Center and/or Regents Hall (outlined in red on this map). This will save you a longer walk to your car from your student's performance/gallery space and from the closing ceremony.
Don't be afraid to ask any of the GSA staff questions – we’ll all be wearing violet GSA t-shirts if you need us! There will also be NKU staff and volunteers there to help!

*Don't forget your raffle tickets! The best time and place for you to turn them in is at the check-out table in University Suites during your student's move-out! If you do not turn your tickets in during moveout, you must turn them in by 3:00pm ET to the merch table in the Greaves Concert Hall lobby or to a member of the admin team. Please do NOT turn your tickets into a faculty or staff member after moveout - only turn them into the merch table or a member of the admin team - so we can ensure they are counted and included in the raffle.

We will also be selling additional raffle tickets in the Greaves Concert Hall lobby until 3:00pm! We have a strict 3:00pm cutoff time for raffle submissions and purchases.

Artform Graduation Times and Locations

Following their gallery exhibitions or performances, each artform's faculty will host a graduation ceremony for all of the students in that discipline. Below are the start times and locations for each artform's graduation ceremony.

Architecture + Design - 4:00 pm, Third Floor Gallery (Fine Arts Center)

Creative Writing - 4:00pm, Social Staircase (Health Innovation Center)

Dance - 1:00pm, SOTA Annex (in the same building as Parking Services, see map below)

Drama - 2:30pm, Stauss Theater (Fine Arts Center)

Film + Photography - 3:15 pm, Room 416 (Fine Arts Center)

Graphic Design - 2:30 pm, Corbett Atrium (Fine Arts Center)

Instrumental Music - 4:00pm, Room 126 (Fine Arts Center)

Musical Theatre - 3:15pm, Corbett Theater (Fine Arts Center)

Visual Art - 3:00pm, Main Gallery (Fine Arts Center)

Vocal Music - 4:30pm, Greaves Concert Hall (Fine Arts Center)

Once their artform graduation is complete, students are free until they assemble for the all-school graduation ceremony. Students should report to Regents Hall no later than 4:45pm.

Important Reminders

-Don't forget your raffle tickets! Please bring any tickets you've sold and the payment for them to turn in; review the move-out notes above for more instructions on where to turn your tickets in. You can't win if you don't turn them in! We will also be selling additional raffle tickets right next to the merch table in the Greaves Concert Hall lobby beginning at 11:00am. There is a strict 3:00pm cutoff for all raffle ticket submissions and purchases!

- The in-person exclusive GSA merch will be available for purchase at the Final Day celebration. The merch table will be open from 11:30am - 3:30pm ET in the lobby of the Greaves Concert Hall.
