Thank you for your interest in Governor's School for the Arts! Each summer, GSA hires faculty by contract for the two 3-week sessions of our summer program. Faculty members guide their class of young Kentucky artists through three weeks of intense (and fun!) arts instruction. Areas of focus include Creative Writing, Dance, Design, Drama, Film + Photography, Instrumental Music, Musical Theatre, Visual Art, and Vocal Music.

*The preferred submission deadline has been extended by one week from January 17th to January 24th. Applications will still be accepted on a rolling basis.*
Session One (June 8 - June 28, 2025)
Creative Writing - 3 positions; one with a focus in fiction, one with a focus in creative non-fiction, and one with a focus in poetry
Design - 1 position
Musical Theatre – 1 position; Music Director
Visual Art - 2 positions; one with a focus in drawing/painting and one with a focus in 3D ceramics
Vocal Music - 2 positions, both with a focus in teaching treble voices
Session Two (July 6 - July 26, 2025)
Creative Writing - 2 positions; one with a focus in fiction, one with a focus in creative non-fiction
Musical Theatre – 4 positions; one with a focus on choreography, one with a focus on voice coaching, one with a focus on acting, and one with a focus as Music Director
Vocal Music - 1 position with a focus in teaching treble voices
