Foundation Giving
Foundations are key partners in carrying out the mission of GSA. Kentucky Performing Arts works closely with foundations to identify the opportunities and programs that will best meet their mission and objectives of both the foundations and GSA. KPA recognizes foundation and government support in its publications and other forums, as appropriate.
Kentucky Performing Arts welcomes local, regional and national foundations to join us as we build a better community by offering young people the opportunity to join a vibrant, energetic and supportive artistic community where they gain self-confidence and clarity about their future goals.

Endowed Giving
What Is An Endowment? The Kentucky Center for the Arts Endowment Fund, Inc. is a separate, charitable organization with 501(c)(3) status created exclusively for The Kentucky Center and its programs. The Kentucky Center for the Arts Endowment Fund, Inc. is a self-renewing resource that the Center holds forever and does not spend. Instead, endowed funds are invested and the earnings from these investments help support programs like GSA and ensure an income stream for the future.
Since its beginning in 1980, the Endowment Fund has increased steadily, thanks to gifts from friends ranging from foundations to individuals to corporations. GSA’s friends and supporters help guarantee its future by making a gift to endowment for GSA. Endowment is an essential source of permanent financial support for a program like GSA which charges no tuition or other fees to its student artists.
Creating A Separate Endowment FundDonors can contribute any amount to GSA’s general endowment fund, or, they can create a separate named fund with a contribution restricted for GSA. A contribution to endowment can be made with: An outright gift; a gift in a will, trust, life insurance or retirement plan assets; or, a life income plan. The fund name may honor the donor or may perpetuate the memory of, or honor, a loved one.
GSA is happy to recognize endowment gifts through commemorative opportunities such as named scholarships and other special initiatives as desired.
If great programs are built on great endowments, GSA’s growing endowment will lead to new standards of excellence.
